Herb Rice
1 c. raw rice
1 med. onion
3 T. margarine
3/4 t. basil
3/4 t. marjoram
1/4 t. thyme
1/2 t. salt
3 chicken bullion cubes + 3 C. water
(or 3 cups chicken broth)
Saute rice and onion in melted margarine on medium heat for 5 minutes. Add spices, salt and bullion cubes/water. Heat to boiling. Cover and cook 30 minutes on low heat until tender.
